Ingredients: 4 pieces of haddock or cod, or salmon 1 tbsp lemon juice 3 tbsp olive oil 1 onion, chopped 3 garlic gloves 2 cm ginger root 1/2 tbsp turmeric 1 tbsp coriander 1/2 tbsp cumin chilli powder to taste 250 ml coconut milk Kokosmilch 2 chilli peppers, thinly sliced Cut the fish, salt and marinate with lemon juice. Leave in the fridge for about an hour. Fry off the onions in the oil until golden brown. Using a mortar and pestle create a paste from the garlic, the ginger and the spices. Alternatively you can finely chop the garlic and ginger and add the spices. Add the paste to the onions and fry for a short while before adding the coconut milk, the green chilli peppers and the vinegar. Leave to simmer for about 10 minutes, and salt to taste. Add the pieces of fish and simmer (with a lid) for another 5 to 6 minutes. If you like you can garnish the dish with freshly chopped coriander. © Cook, Little Pot, Cook - 2017
